Anti-abortion protests end peacefully

JACKSON - Local residents and businesses can regain some normalcy after anti-abortion activisits and abortion-rights counterparts from other states left Jackson peacefully Saturday. The final event of Operation Save America's eight-day protest ended with about 30 anti-abortion protesters at the state's only remaining abortion clinic in the Fondren area and abortion-rights demonstrators at the Capitol. Members of Operation Save America were in Jackson hoping to shut down the Jackson Women's Health Organization, 2903 N. State St., which kept its doors open most of Saturday. .
