Teachers' action call over abortion rates

TEACHERS say sex education in schools should be taught to younger children than at present after it was revealed that teenage abortion rates in Bolton are amongst the worst in the region. A science teacher said it was terrible that girls of 16 were leaving school without a thorough sex education. And an assistant head teacher said some children were unaware of what an abortion was, a situation she said needed to change if pregnancy rates among under 16s were to fall. .
